Présentation

Enseignant - chercheur en mécanique des matériaux et structures du génie civil, spécialisé dans l’étude du comportement thermo-hydro-mécanique du béton et des matériaux poreux. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur la compréhension expérimentale et la modélisation des phénomènes de fissuration, de transfert hydrique, de déformation différée et de durabilité des structures de génie civil.

Ses recherches s’inscrivent dans le domaine de la sûreté et de la performance des infrastructures, avec des applications aux ouvrages massifs, structures de confinement, barrages et environnements soumis à des sollicitations sévères. Il développe des approches combinant expérimentation avancée, instrumentation, analyse multi-physique et simulation numérique afin de mieux caractériser les mécanismes gouvernant le comportement des matériaux poreux cohésifs.
