Présentation

Philippe Pernod est professeur des universités à l'Institut Centrale Lille depuis 1996, et assure les fonctions de directeur de la recherche et de l'innovation de l’institut depuis 2014, et de directeur adjoint depuis 2024. Il effectue son activité de recherche à l'Institut d'Electronique, Microélectronique et Nanotechnologie (IEMN, UMR CNRS 8520), un centre de recherche commun entre Centrale Lille, l'Université de Lille, le CNRS, l'Université Polytechnique des Hauts-de-France et JUNIA.

Activités de recherche :

Ses recherches portent sur les systèmes multi-physiques (impliquant différents types d'ondes, ou processus mécaniques, thermiques, fluidiques, à échelle macro ou micro), les matériaux actifs et les nanostructures (piézoélectriques, magnétiques et multiferroïques), les micro-nano-systèmes, ou encore les systèmes acoustiques/ultrasons, pour le développement de nouveaux concepts et de solutions disruptives appliquées par exemple aux micro-capteurs et actionneurs, aux micro-systèmes, à la micro-fluidique, à l'électronique fonctionnelle, aux instrumentations d'imagerie et de caractérisation. Il a co-créé et dirigé le groupe de recherche AIMAN-FILMS de l’IEMN de 1997 à 2019, et co-créé et dirigé durant 16 ans (2004 à 2020) du côté français le laboratoire international associé LEMAC/LICS sur les phénomènes critiques et supercritiques en électronique fonctionnelle, acoustique et fluidique. Ses enseignements à l’Ecole Centrale de Lille ont couvert les domaines suivants : Physique du solide, Matériaux actifs et fonctionnels (piézo-, ferro-, magnéto-acoustique et magnéto-électriques), Acoustique et Imagerie ultrasonore, Théragnostique ondulatoire, Micro-Nano-systèmes, Electronique, Télécommunications, Traitement du signal. 

Activités de formation :

Il a créé et assuré la responsabilité de l’option d’approfondissement de dernière année année (M2) « Ondes, Micro- Nano- Technologies et Télécommunications » (12 à 18 élèves / an, 435 H / élève) (1994-2019), de la thématique de dernière année de Centrale Lille « Smart systems and Smart Environments » (comprend 2 parcours équivalents à M2, 36 à 48 élèves / an, 400 H / élève) (depuis 2019), du Master 2 Micro-Nano-Technologie co-accrédité entre Centrale Lille et l’Université de Lille (parcours d’excellence intensif en recherche totalement en anglais et s’appuyant sur l’IEMN, inclus dans le Graduate Program d’excellence du Hub 3 de l’I-Site ULNE, démarré en 2021).
