I have been a Reader in Centrale Lille Institut since September 2025, before that, I was a lecturer in Centrale Lille (2020 - 2025). I am affiliated to the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Fluides de Lille. I teach fluid dynamics in the main engineering curriculum of Ecole Centrale de Lille and numerical analysis in the internationnal master of turbulence. I also taught fluid mechanics punctually (2023 - 2025) in the second year of the undergraduate program of école de chimie de Lille.
I mostly study rare and extreme events in turbulent flows, in particular in multistable flows of géophysique and aerodynamical origin. These flows are often facing "typing points" under various changes in the system (internal noise, modification of conditions), which are the focus of our research. For that purpose, I have implemented a suite of code of rare event simulation methods that can drastically accelerate those numerical simulations and critically improve the estimate of the probability of occurence of these events.
